Actually, most of Taipei is like that (I'm a Taipei local). Lots of old buildings. When I was a kid, I honestly thought Taipei was ugly, hahaha! But it's my home, so I still love it. Taipei looks old because it developed early, so many buildings are quite old. But actually, many of them are nicely renovated inside.

Mine's also with the Wanbo Market Supervision Office. Today, they also tagged mine for 'delayed processing due to complex circumstances'.

You walked from Yuyuan Road to Zhenning Road, then Wukang Road, Huaihai Road, all the way to Jiao Tong University. That's at least five kilometers! Of course, your feet are going to hurt.

What's the big deal? Anyone with common sense knows not to eat at tourist spots. Did you even do any research before your trip? If you don't want to come, then don't. You want it cheap, you want amazing value, and when you feel ripped off, you trash-talk all of Suzhou? For all you know, a place like that might even be run by someone from your own hometown!

Honestly, there's a lot of disappointment internally.

Seriously! Back at my old hospital, fewer people worked on Saturdays and Sundays, so we could take turns having days off. But here in Shenzhen, they don't allow weekend days off—everyone has to work.

For hailing a taxi at Hongqiao, this is a good reference. I wouldn't recommend going to the in-station parking lots by following the signs. Drivers there might not come to your exact pickup spot, and it's a real pain trying to find your car. Also, it seems drivers only get a couple of free entries into the parking lot daily, so you might have to pay an extra 10 RMB for parking. If you don't pay it, the driver might get grumpy. It's better to follow the advice in this post and catch a taxi from outside the station area.

Perhaps, but going on a shopping spree at the IFC Mall is way harder than slaving away at the Shanghai Tower.
