I originally had no plans to visit Japan due to historical grievances, but after reading these comments, I'm finding out that people in Suzhou can be quite unwelcoming and unfriendly to outsiders.

Hangzhou's public buses and subways don't even have announcements in the Hangzhou dialect. How can you still call that exclusionary...?

Hahahaha, but the charm of the Bund is something you rarely find in other cities. Isn't travel all about experiencing things your own city lacks? That's why I mentioned it's great for photo ops. If you're purely looking for 'fun,' then Disneyland is the place.
