I once took a sightseeing bus, which was fun, but a bit pricey. Electric bikes and bicycles are no longer allowed in the Bund area.

Ready to Translate Your China Travel WTFs! Lay It On Me.I was hanging out on QQ and YY over 10 years ago. How could I not know?

Kinmen's Famous Hotspot! Nailed It! Will DEFINITELY Be Back!Oh my gosh! I rode my bike for a long time all the way to Kinmen (an island very close to mainland China), only to see this?!
-
This is such a massive letdown! My mood immediately tanked.

I really need to voice concerns about Xiaohongshu (a super popular social app in China, a blend of Instagram and Pinterest): Sometimes its recommendations are just not reliable!
- Can a random spot be hyped up as "must-go" destinations just like that? (By "card-tapping", it means taking photos at a destination as proof and posting it on social media.)
- It feels like they don't care much about us tourists' experience!
-
Here's a word of caution for my friends who are planning to visit Kinmen, especially foreign friends:
- CAUTION, CAUTION, CAUTION!
- Be mindful of the seemingly perfect "must-go spots" on social media; give them extra scrutiny because these may often be overblown and exaggerated.
- The gap between the actual photos and reality can be quite significant, as some places depicted can sometimes be very ordinary in real life.
- How to avoid disappointment:
- Before going somewhere, take a careful look and read other people's reviews to get a more comprehensive sense. Don't just look at those heavily edited and filtered beautiful pictures.
- If a place requires considerable effort to reach, such as by cycling for a long time or walking long distances, ensure that it is truly worth your time and energy. Avoid my mistake: not checking properly and feeling extremely disappointed!
- CAUTION, CAUTION, CAUTION!

Seriously, If NO ONE Buys, Will City Order Just Magically Appear?!Most of them operate out of rented ground-floor units, likely in those mixed-use buildings where they both live and make their goods in the same room. Considering the roadside dust, summer insects, and frankly, questionable hygiene—like people not washing their hands after using the toilet or other unsanitary habits—it's beyond me why anyone still buys their stuff.
