Here we go! Everyone familiar with Beijing, or those who have visited it before, listen up!
I'm planning a few days in Beijing during the Dragon Boat Festival (the Chinese festival celebrated with dragon boat races and enjoying zongzi). Could everyone contribute one piece of advice each to share some travel insights about Beijing and things to watch out for?
- Are there any over-hyped sights that aren't worth visiting because they tend to have too many people but not much else exciting to see?
- Alternatively, are there any local delicacies hidden in out-of-the-way corners that only locals know about instead of the popular tourist spots?
- Important Reminder: Is there anything I should be extra cautious of?
- For instance:
- Where could taxi rides or subways be more convenient, and how can I avoid getting stuck in traffic during peak hours?
- What are the tips and tricks for saving time and money when buying tickets for sightseeing, such as whether buying online in advance would be better?
- Which areas or times should I be extra vigilant against pickpockets or scammers to make sure my trip goes smoothly?
I will take notes and do my homework with the valuable experience shared here by all of you! Appreciate it in advance!
