As a local Guangzhou tour guide, I think Guangzhou is definitely fun – it just depends on what you're looking for! If you're into history and culture, there's the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Yongqing Fang, Mausoleum of the Nanyue King, Shamian Island, Lizhiwan, and more. For trendy, Instagrammable spots, check out Dongshankou, various creative parks, the new Guangzhou Cultural Center, art galleries, Guangdong Museum, Canton Tower, and Huacheng Square. For amusement, there's Chimelong Resort, Grandview Mall, and Beijing Road. And for food? You can find delicious options everywhere! There's also Baiyun Mountain, Yuexiu Park, Lianhua Mountain, Tianhou Palace, and a ton of other attractions! It really just means you haven't found what you personally want to do yet!

There's nothing particularly special, except maybe Shamian Island. But honestly, wouldn't Macau be a better choice?

Call me unsophisticated, but I'm curious to see just how luxurious a hotel room costing over 2000 RMB a night really is.

The room was really old and quite moldy. You even had to climb into the bathtub to take a shower. Maybe I just haven't seen enough of the world, huh?

I'm actually surprised to see Shenzhen boosters here; never would've expected that.

Exactly. Honestly, they're pretty much the same, and Shenzhen arguably has even less cultural depth – it feels like it could be replicated anywhere. Perhaps it's just a different perspective, but Guangzhou at least has its unique Lingnan charm. Shenzhen, on the other hand... besides memories of grueling work, what else is there?

I'm in Zengcheng right now; one day is enough to see it, and the experience was pretty good. I also went to Conghua during the summer break and quite liked it. Maybe I just don't have very high expectations.

Wow, people actually visit Guangzhou's suburbs for leisure? That's... something else!

I'm a Guangzhou native, and if you ask me what's fun in Guangzhou, I honestly can't think of a single thing.

Just stay home and count your fingers, and when you're done with those, count your toes.

                            It's at Ximenkou.

Tried a couple of their dishes. Was in a hurry to head out and explore, so just grabbed a quick bite. It was decent.

Honestly, why not just go for some Cantonese food?

Stop with the recommendations! If they try it and can't handle the taste, they'll just end up posting a 'what to avoid' review.
